Welcome to triathletebeginner.com, a place for multisports athletes of ALL levels and abilities to congregate, and share their experiences in the wonderful world of triathlon!
Considering I could *barely* swim the 25 meters from one end of a pool to the other back in 2005, to completing my first Ironman Triathlon in August of 2006, the purpose of this site is to help and encourage fellow athletes to completing their first triathlon - whether it's a mini sprint, olympic, or the big kahuna itself - Ironman. If you are already experienced in triathlon, you will still find this site useful as we hope you still believe you can go FASTER at any distance!
If the thought of doing a triathlon is a little intimidating or downright assinine (like I did back in 2005), stick around and you just might glean some insights and knowledge on this site that will help you cross that finish line! Breaking down a triathlon into little chunks and into its 3 fundamental components - swimming, biking, and running - will make the learning curve much easier to deal with. I hope that knowledge gained throughout this site will help you further and improve your skills in each of these components regardless of your current skill level and will ultimately yield a successful journey into the world of triathlon.
I look forward to hearing about your accomplishments, big or small!
Tavis
